Woah is a company started by two college roommates at Purdue University in December 1998. Since our creation we have built and designed many web sites. In March 1999 we decided we would change our focus to college students. Our first major site was PurdueDating.com, which during its first week saw over 25,000 page views by over 1,000 unique visitors. Due to legal issues with Purdue we were asked to take our site down off Purdue's network. At this point we redesigned our PurdueDating.com site to support most other colleges and universities, and on the Ide's of March we opened CollegeDates.com a place for College Students from around the world to meet new people from their school. During our first few weeks we saw many changes take place. We were very proud of what we had accomplished and at the rate at which people were using our service. As the summer drew near we conceived many more new ideas, but the summer came quickly, but by the time the summer of 1999 had arrived CollegeDates.com had seen over 1,000,000 page views and had over 10,000 members. On July 4th, Woah Internet Corporation was official formed. |
